The following are examples of work I did during my work as an Intern Architect at O’Brien Atkins in Durham NC the summer of 2018.
I spent the majority of my time working with O’Brien Atkins’s Director of Architecture, Joshua Brady, on design development for the new Applied Technology Building on the Durham Techs campus as well as supplying the Renderings and other graphics for said building.
The remainder of my time there was dedicated to either schematic design or design development for a number of large and small scale projects, as well as many of the renderings and other presentation materials for said projects around the office such as my work on the VF headquarters renderings with Coury Stolarik from the interior design team.

OFFICE PARK PAVILLION DESIGN
As with much of my time at O'Brien Atkins I was given a lot of leeway to explore different design options when working in a close knit team on many of the large, institutional projects. This pavilion, however, is unique in that I was given almost complete independence to design down to the smallest detail & material connection. The concept of the pavilion is to provide a peaceful area of respite overlooking a wooded hill for members of an office park. The structural members of the roof and floor share a similar grid, yet are offset to add experiential overlaps & layers in the composition.
