WORK STYLE

As a designer I make sure to establish a thorough understanding of both the physical and sociological context of any given design project through statistical research, site analysis & user engagement. From then I establish a key idea or “parti” that will guide my design process and ensure functional and aesthetic cohesion; remaining flexible to change where need be. As a team member I am able to build productive rapport with professionals from a wide range of fields by showing sincere appreciation for others viewpoints. In any program I utilize I always make sure to take the time to learn all of its nuances and functions. I have found that organization, patience and dedication to learning the digital tools of the trade ultimately improves efficiency, especially in a team environment.

I pride myself on my diversity of experience and my ability to build a productive rapport with a wide spectrum of design professionals from the macro scale of urban planning to the micro scale of interior design. I also have personal experience in taking the initiative to foster similar connections with community members and their advocates. My investigatory approach has taught me how to form effective and socially conscious solutions by making the design process inclusive and accessible to users from all walks of life. I am inquisitive, outgoing, hard working and passionate about the capacity of great architecture to make a positive impact on the world around us.

TIME...

I am often described as a very “high energy” person by my friends and peers. I try to hike 20 miles a week, run and do yoga on a daily basis, meditate and utilize a standing desk as a way to stay both physically and mentally healthy. I find that this has really helped me focus, handle stress and also be a more a more conscientious person. In my down time I like to play banjo and guitar and read both fiction and ancient history. I'm also pretty well known among my friends for my cooking!
